WorkingEqual.com was founded to provide a platform for people experiencing gender discrimination to share their stories. Gender discrimination hurts both employees and employers in many ways. Good employees are often demotivated, dehumanized, and driven away from employers by cultures and policies that don’t offer equality to all employees. Companies suffer significantly by losing great talent, blocking value-creation, disincentivizing innovation & ideation, and maintaining power structures that are more motivated in maintain inequality that increasing shareholder value.
WorkingEqual.com is here to shed light on gender discrimination in the workplace. We want to expose the everyday issues that gender discrimination creates, how it impacts those that experience it, and where it is happening. Many people who experience gender discrimination face issues when trying to report it. Many times, the issues are not large enough for HR departments to take action or for victims to litigate, but they are issues that impact many employees directly or indirectly. By aggregating them, we hope to illustrate the scale and pervasiveness of these issues.
